Next on Thoughts Sports.....

Spanning the globe to bring you the constant variety of Rugby... the thrill of victory... and the agony of defeat... the human drama of athletic competition... This is Thoughts's Wide World of Sports!

The Sly Devils lost a really close match today to the Navy... It was a nail-biter 27-25  #9 made two tries!!!  The brave scrum half was not JUST the shortest on her own team but was the shortest player on the pitch.... The Navy women joked and called her a hobbit.....the feisty Scrum Half didn't let the jesting get to her and she proved with her 5'3" frame that she could outmaneuver the larger players with ease....as she carried the ball successfully down the field on several occasions.... Many of the Navy women now respect the tackles from this little Mexican Fireball as several were flipped in the air while trying to avoid this little wily scrapper....  The game was intense but later all were friendly at the social.... The Sly Devils' Right Wing, "Rookie"was a little upset over the loss and decided to have a nice quiet pint in the corner of the pub, followed by 10 noisy pints after!!              (this Chica still is not drinking due to medical restriction... maybe next week??  haha  we'll see) And that's the way it is......February 11, 2017

Very, very brave and nuts as well. Sorry you lost. It is hard to lose a game you want to win, even if you don’t play.

nuts?? no…. not really…. it’s a fine game…. lots of fun…. one of the ONLY sports on the planet INCLUDING American football that there really isn’t any ‘trashtalking’ of the other team which I like……. and it was a ‘friendly’ which doesn’t count…. just a scrimmage…. I played the entire match, there are no substitutions for my position…. the girl who was suppose to be my sub just found out she is pregnant so she is gone…. but it’s okay…. I am one tough little Mousie…. and we can always put someone else in my place if I get trampled and need to limp off the pitch
